Sue Ann Armitage

For Judge

Your dedicated candidate for Circuit Court Judge

I’m Sue Ann Armitage, and I’m running for Circuit Court Judge. I grew up right here in St. Mary’s, went to school here, and returned after law school to start a practice in the community that’s always been my home.

I’m proud to have had a career dedicated to service, from providing free legal assistance to active-duty military at Patuxent River Naval Air Station to helping clients of the Family Advocacy Center.

As your Circuit Court Judge, I’ll continue this commitment to serve, ensuring justice, safety, and fairness for all.

“Let’s make St. Mary's County safer and stronger – together.”

- Sue Ann Armitage

From the

A native of Ridge, Sue Ann was raised with her three sisters in a family deeply rooted in St. Mary’s County. Sue Ann’s grandmother ran a local landmark, the 235 Diner in Mechanicsville. Her younger years were marked by softball games at Pennie’s and The Brass Rail, crabbing in St. Jerome’s Creek, and waiting tables at church dinners. It was in St. Michael’s School that she first dreamed of becoming a lawyer.

For the County

During her 33 years practicing law, Sue Ann has worked to make our county safer and stronger. From founding Armitage & Armitage Law Firm to supporting our schools and community organizations, she has dedicated her career to the betterment of the county.
